ISGA provides ongoing health education and promotion as one of our organisational priorities.
Currently we are prioritising GP education to facilitate TGD community access to local affirming healthcare.
In the future we aim to expand and provide education to the TGD community, schools, business, and service providers.

Gender Affirming Care in General Practice
ISGA will be providing education on a recurring basis for local GPs in the Illawarra Shoalhaven region. This may include our 4 part educational series 'Trans+ Health for GPs' or a tailored program on request.
We encourage individuals to register an expression of interest to be notified of upcoming session dates. If you are a small group (10+ GPs/registrars/practice nurses), please reach out if you would like a 1-2 hour introductory session. We may also be able to accommodate requests from educational organisations.
Oestrogen Implants
This session is for gender affirming doctors wanting to provide oestrogen implants to their TGD patients.
This session will include a presentation on prescribing oestrogen implants followed by a practical session demonstrating the use of trocar kits for insertion.
